Music for Your Nuptial Mass 

or Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage Outside of Mass

You want the music for your marriage ceremony to be the best it can be. The purpose of music chosen for the liturgy should be to help people pray and express their faith. When choosing music, use these two questions as a guide:  What message is being communicated? Is the music aiding worship?

Selecting music for your marriage ceremony can be a trying task, so the purpose of this page is to help make it enjoyable and perhaps a little easier. The works suggested here are examples of music of good quality suitable for your nuptial ceremony. This listing is by no means exhaustive. You may want to check with the musicians at your church for other suggestions. I am Director of Music at St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria, Louisiana.
