Children's Music Web is a nonprofit organization dedicated to music for kids.Mr. E's Virtual Music Classroom has music activities and resources for kids and teachers.The Piano Page is operated by the Piano Technician's Guild and has info on buying a piano, a Virtual Piano Museum, lists of manufacturers and links to other music resources on the web.The American Music Conference is a national nonprofit whose mission is "to promote the benefits of music, music making and music education to the general public." Helpful sections on research and wellness.We can all use a more positive attitude. Apple Seeds purports to promote that by providing quotations and short stories that also promote the development of holistic human dignity. Published 9 times during the school year by Fr. Brian Cavanaugh, TOR.The following are my favorite organizational sites. St. Rita Catholic Church, of course, because it's the best in Alexandria (and because I am the Director of Music there).The Louisiana Music Teachers Association, because I am a certified teacher through that organization.The Music Teachers National Association has lots of information for parents and students too. I am a nationally certified teacher through this organization---that's why you see NCTM after my name!Kindermusik has sections for parents, children and educators.The Music Educators National Conference has info for advocates, links, new products and music education suppliers and resources. |
