Music for the entrance of the bride and for the exit of the wedding party

You've probably noticed I have not included the "traditional" stuff, and there's a reason for that. Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" from his opera Lohengrin--popularly known as "Here Comes the Bride" (and reminiscent of the infamous school yard lyrics) celebrates a marriage that collapses in betrayal no more than 20 minutes after it is sung. And Mendelssohn's incidental music in A Midsummer Night's Dream (The "Wedding March," a selection often used at the end of ceremonies) accompanies a pretended wedding. Neither of these is appropriate for a Nuptial Mass, not to mention that they have become trite from overuse. Think before you decide on these! You deserve better!
